These sculptural-performative works form a grotesque spectacle of failure. Mechanized, fur-covered objects crawl noisily across the floor—absurd, laborious, almost tragicomic. Their mechanics, once masculine-coded tools, are queered and repurposed through the process of reshaping their surfaces. The works embody a radical gesture of affirmation: they celebrate imperfection, decay, and the overlooked. They form an “anti-community” of hybrid, dysfunctional bodies, inspired by Paul B. Preciado’s and Jack Halberstam’s concepts of monstrosity as queer resistance.
